An Enchanted Evening

Sierra, Jenna, Mike (Jake's Dad) and I went to the El Capitian Theater in Hollywood to see the new Disney Movie Enchanted. Sierra insisted that she wear her red Belle dress. She looked just like a Princess. We got there a little early so we decided to go next door to the Disney Soda Shop and grab some dinner. The movie was really cute, Sierra liked it, but she got a little squirmy near the end. After the movie we got to go the the Enchanted Experience, a Tent behind the theater. Sierra was so excited we she saw Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Belle standing in the main ballroom. We walked around and Sierra was able to her pictures taken with all of the Princesses. She was a little sad when she realized that Mulan was not there. She soon got over that when she came upon a huge jumper (the size of a large room). I thought she might be intimidated with all the big kids and adults jumping in there, but she got in there all by herself. I joined her after a while, it was so much fun. Sierra got to dress up and have makeup put on her. Later she danced with Belle, Aurora and Cinderella. It was a great evening. I felt like I made some of Sierra's dreams come true.

Halloween

Sierra and Kiera
Mimi and Sierra
JoAnna, Sierra, Jenna and Grandma

We had so much fun on Halloween. Sierra had the choice of wearing her Red Belle costume (that she wore on her Birthday) or the Fairy Princess costume her Aunt Julie got her. Of course the Fairy Princess won out. Jenna talked me in to dressing up like a cheap blonde. Jake looked like a blond hippie in one Jenna's other wigs, but he couldn't find the shirt he wanted to wear with it. We took Sierra up the hill were Jake use to trick or treat as a child. We visited Jake's grandma Mimi. Went up to Montrose with some friends from church, went trick or treating, carved pumpkins and let the kids run wild on a sugar high. Sierra and her friend Kiera were so cute both princesses holding hand the whole time. The best was when a woman was standing in the middle of the path and each girl went around the woman still holding hands, neither would let go, finally the woman had to move out of the way so the girls could go on their way.

Our First Blog

Well, I was trying to think of a way to keep in touch with friends and family and let them know of the going ons of the Fornelli Family. So after a few friends have sent us links to their blogs, I decided to start a blog of our own.

So much has happen, December of 2006 we moved from Santa Clarita to Jake's Mom's House in Eagle Rock. Where we converted the detached garage into a cute studio for us. Jake worked really hard with the help of his dad. He finished in April. I was so excited and so was Sierra she still refers to it as "my New House".

Jake is still plugging away at school. On May 31st he took his Welding Certification test and had the highest score. He still needs to take the hands on test to complete the certification, but should be taking that this month.

Sierra is getting sooo big and smart. She got her first haircut in March and looks so cute with her bob. We also took her to Disneyland in March and she was so excited. Her Auntie Jess got her and Elizabeth autograph books and they did their very best to get as many signatures as possible. She loves all the Princesses and especially thinks Snow White is pretty. Sierra is now potty trained and pretty much did it herself.

June and July have been very busy for us. My brother Ethan came home from his mission in Spain on June 20, Jake's brother Jamison came home from his mission in Mexico on June 27, July 4th was fun we went to the Kerrigan's (Nathan's In-laws) house for a BBQ and snow cones and then to the Rose Bowl for fireworks. July 5 we went to the Elephant Bar to celebrate Jake's 30th birthday and then the Guys went off to see Transformers, and finally Sierra's toe surgery is scheduled for July 11. So hopefully everything will settle down after that.
